Fukuoka Kengo James' Progression Thread

IMG_3313.jpeg

Just received my UV Ball Core AoShi WRM from PiCube, and immediately got a new 6x6 PB

I've seen many other cubers making progress with their very own progression threads, so I've decided to make one for myself.

2×2
- average sub 4
- main: Pi Cube Premium Ball Core MoHuanShouSu ChuWen M
- method: Ortega PBL
- goal: learn full CLL and average sub 4

3×3
- average sub 16
- main: MoYu RS3 M V5 Ball Core UV Coated
- method: basic F2L, 2-look OLL and full PLL
- goal: improve F2L, progressively learn full OLL and average sub 15
Got new main 2x2 and 3x3.

Is it possible for me to get to sub 15 consistently in 3 weeks?

I was trying to learn some OLLs, but then I found that looking ahead is more important. Specifically my first pair usually takes the longest in f2l, which means my transition between cross and f2l isn’t very smooth. Should I be looking for the 1st pair during inspection?

You could try tracking where your first pair ends up while doing cross.

Yes, you definitely can. I would suggest slow solves and doing timed solves where you slow down on your last 1-2 edges on cross and look for the first pair the slowly speed up throughout f2l as lookahead gets easier.
