Upcoming 3x3s

You are probably bored seeing this joke again and again, but....
Moyu Boss to Managers: Let's make 3x3x3 cubes this year.
Managers to other employees: Boss has instructed to make 27 cubes this year.
edit: and if counted correctly, they are actually only 1/2 models away from 27 cubes.
Your fine, over produced cubes call for over produced jokes.

There are 4 or 5 different versions of the RS3M V5. 😂

See them here.

I don't see any game changing new features. I'm glad they are simplifying the names. V5 is better than names like RS3M 2020, Super RS3M 2022, etc and UV is definitely easier than silly Magic Clothes.

There is something called Magnetic "Light" Start, something mentioned in their official video below. Does this mean less resistance when turning initially? Maglev (and repulsing magnets in edge pieces) often causes a weird feel, ie some resistance initially and then acceleration when the layer is turned. This will be a good change IMO, if so, a I prefer more even effect from any auto aligning system.

There's a slightly updated MonsterGo, which is probably not very interesting to you, unless you have grand kids. 😉 Like the original Monstergo-EDU, it's basic but designed to be safe for children, and it's now 77g (down from 85g). It's also said to be smoother.

Will manufacturers ever design cubes for retirees? We can pay higher prices.

you WANT to pay more?!?!?!?! (maybe i didnt understand you correctly)
If they make the ideal cube for me, I don't mind. 😉 For example, if they make a cube that is better for old eyes and fingers (not turning at high TPS), it's worth it. Even better if it includes something like a Tile, and can beep when I cannot remember where I left it. 😆

i have a crazy idea......take a cube that isnt very fast, like a tengyun, and then put a couple AirTags in the pieces!!!!(don't try this at home kids)

Another release from Moyu - the Super Weilong WRM is coming!

I heard this new flagship will have magnet strength adjustment. It's adjustable in 8 steps.

This is getting more confusing. Shouldn't it be called the V10?

I have some more info now.

It comes in a huge box. Instead of the robot cube holder, there is a "watch" holder this time, complete with wrist straps, so you can wear and show off the cube on the wrist. This holder looks like the charger for the previous Moyu Weilong AI cube, with arms which clamp on the cube at the holes. At the base, you can attached the provided wrist straps. There's no need for the proud owner to have a pocket or a bag to carry it around. So innovative, again. 🤭 Ball Core, Maglev, UV, the new magnet strength adjustment system, which is I think similar to what's in Gan 13, plus Moyu spring maglev tensioning system, are all there. Apparently the unpopular edge repelling magnets have been dumped. It should be interesting to see how Super this new Weilong flagship is. There is no mention of any other cheaper versions as yet in this release (like plain Magnetic, Spring version, etc.)

Update. 73g, 55mm, and primary internals. There's a new 4-way tool, which includes a screwdriver, and a cup (for the maglev adjustment). The cube is said to be quiet, smooth and also stable. Note however that those who can get new models so early are not like you and me, who actually pay for them. The price should be premium, just my guess, since the pretty box and carry bag (making it a Christmas gift idea?) and packaging must cost at least $10. And that's before the "watch" holder.

Wait, when was the v9 out, are they making a flagship every less than a year? Bro, I did not no this was a flagship at all.
Apparently their last flagship, the V9 with all the features including repelling magnets and easy corner twisting, wasn't doing so well. This could be the fix. I do wish it will be really good this time and what a new Moyu flagship should be like.

Luke Garrett and Yusheng Du checking the Super Weilong out:

There are 3 versions of the cube, according to Brian Johnstone, and up to 20 (Is that all?) Magnets.. Read the information below his YouTube video.

Update. Depending on the version, spring tension, maglev, edge magnet may be used.
