This new method is called Epidote method. It is a new method which solves similar to APB but with less algs and same amount of looks.

1a. Solve 1x2x3 block on left
1b. Solve DF and DB edges
2. Solve back pair
3. EOLC (solve DFR corner while orienting all edges(133 algs)
4. E2CP (solve last 2 edges of f2l while permuting corners)(45 algs)
5. 2GLL(84 algs)

It is ergonomic, has good recognition and has less cases. Some people have said to me that E2CP would not have good recognition but it actually has good recognition, to recognize the cases you first recognize the CLL case and from seeing the CLL you should be able to tell which 2 corners are being swapped then you look for where your FR and DF edge is, this is easy as you only have to look at the top layer and the FR edge and then assume what is in the DF, plus the FR and DF edge stand out as they would be the only ones with white or a F/B sticker on top.

EOLC is recognized by the EO case just like in APB and then the position of the corner, which is pretty self explanatory.

Also I am very close to finishing the EOLC algorithms but I need someone to generate the E2CP algs, if you want to help generate them please DM my account! anyway what do you guys think?

Seems promising!

I love this method idea. It sounds like more of a combination between LEOR and APB but I think this method could be really good for speedsolving and maybe OH. What is an estimate of the movecount though?

The problem with this is E2CP.

1. I don't see a single reason to do this. It's like worse CPLS. It just seems like something you're doing for the sake of it being different.

2. I wouldn't expect the algs to be very good bc you are inserting 2 edges around a solved corner in the D layer. That usually is not gonna produce good algs.

Ok, what would you recommend then?

You could try just ECP and then leave the solver with a 2GLL+1 with FR or DF. However I think the E2CP algorithms should be generated to see the moveset and movecount before deciding if another option is better.

Agreed, could you generate them, I have tried learning how to use batch solver but it is too confusing. Also if it isn’t good, we should probably call it CPE instead of ECP as ECP is the name of an already existing method.

It's a cool method but I honestly don't see why you would stick to E2CP. It's a good intermediate step but if you want this method to be optimal you should just solve the last two F2L edges (which the algs are actually quite nice) optimally and use full ZBLL.
And at that point you should do APB.
