Don't DNF in 3x3 2023 (Speedsolving competition) (Finished)

I am going to host a 3x3 competition.

The competitor limit will be 8.

The format will be average of 5.

Every round, the person with the worst result will be eliminated.

If the worst result is tied, whoever has the worst single solve is eliminated.

This goes on until one person is left standing.

You will have until July 25th to register, which is the day I will post scrambles for round one.

Every round, you will have 3 days to submit your times.

If you do not submit your times, you will be eliminated along with the competitor with the worst result.

Recording is not required, but it is recommended.

Registrations are now closed.

This competition will be 8 rounds, spanning for about a month, so if you for some reason will not be able to submit for all rounds, then you should withdrawal.

If you are wondering about the format, it is stated in the initial message. It is not a normal competition format.

anyway, this competition will start on the 25th.

Here are the dates more clearly written out:

Round 1: July 25th-July 28th
Round 2: July 29th-August 1st
Round 3: August 2nd-August 5th
Round 4: August 6th-August 9th
Round 5: August 13th-August 16th
Round 6: August 17th-August 20th
Round 7: August 21st-August 24th
Finals: August 25th-August 28th


I did point this all out in the first message, but not clearly enough as I should have, so I'm sorry about that.


Here are the rules:

-Make sure to submit your times before I submit the scrambles for next round.

-All WCA regulations apply except for the regulation regarding timer malfunctions. To learn more about that, read the rules about recording solves.

-If you get a solve in which it is hard to tell if the solve a +2, solved, or a DNF (in other words if you were a WCA comp solve you would call a delegate) then take a picture of the cube from a distance where you can't accidentally turn the cube and post it on the thread.

-You can choose to record or not to record.

If you record, make sure to not scramble before your recording. Also, your solves will be checked for miss-scrambles. However, if you are wondering if you got a penalty in the solve, or if you want an E1, let me know in the same place where you sent the video so I can check.

If you choose to not record, your solves will not be miss-scramble checked, but if you have an incident happen in which you aren't sure if you over inspected, or if you timer malfunction, you will be given the penalty, and if something else happens, E1's will not be granted. Exception: Rule 2

-Don't cheat, and don't try to find loopholes to cheat.

-Don't comment about people's times in a negative way.
