Looks like Samuel Lai is already selling corner core kits for the YJ mini 4x4. This is his personal cube where he added repelling magnets to the hidden edges, but it does a good job of showing his core magnetization mechanism. Seems a lot like the Cuber's Home kits. He doesn't seem to have a storefront to buy these from, but if you message him on Instagram I think you can get your core magnetized mini 4x4 to be a reality. He also goes by Lai S Cuber on YouTube and has a few interesting videos on modifications of puzzles.

Not exactly a new puzzle, I know, but relevant to recent discussion in this thread.
Lai S Cubes also shows his MagLev 4x4 on his YT channel, and lots of his own designs 😎 not just mods... recently he designed and made a 2×2×14 !!! 🤯

yk what I just thought of?
cubing has literally changed so much since this thread was made
cubes now all have UV coating, ball cores, maglev, etc
back then all they were worried about was if you could adjust the screw depth, and if it even had springs
its crazy
... whether the cube coming in 1 month from China is locky, or has conner cutting, corner twisting problems, if it arrived at all 😂

springs and screws are quite a bit older than 2018 bro...

and adjusting screw depth (also sometimes called "center travel distance" haha) is *really* simple: turn the screwdriver clockwise to tighten and counterclockwise to loosen ☑️
(aka "righty tighty lefty loosey") 😜

and when I look around, it's mostly only flagship level cubes that have all those bells and whistles...

which begs the question:

when are Moyu and Gan planning on giving us some nice cubes with silver bells and gold whistles😉😜🤯
(maybe xmas...?)
