help on redi cube notation

How does redi cube notation work? i know the cs timer one but not the one with uppercase and lowercase numbers, does anyone know how it works?

For the old notation you hold it like you would a skewb, then the uppercase letters are your top and lowercase is your bottom moves

turn the top corners, (left for l and right for r) and every x is a rotation (in the up direction)
