Upcoming puzzles

the image is blurry but is that a 4-layer *minx (top-left)?
I've never seen or heard of that.
Yeah Elite Kilominx. Shengshou makes them. Diansheng has said on instagram they are interested in making other higher order minx puzzles.
They also are NOT planning on making a Kilominx. I have no clue if they plan on making a megaminx or not. They seem to have found their niche in big magnetic puzzles, but they have made some WCA NxNs so it could happen.

hey thanks for schooling me on the elite kilominx, didn't even know it existed. I ordered the Shengshou one and it came today. Very nice. Bigger than I was expecting, (and greasy like every Shengshou I ever get),.. but a nice puzzle for sure. Thank you.

Even layer minxes need magnets a lot more than their odd-layered counterparts, as they tend to warp and misalign if you put one on a table the wrong way.

quick size comparison of the Diansheng Magnetic Gigaminx next to the Yuxin Gigaminx, (and a 'normal' size Megaminx).. the Yuxin is quite a bit larger. The Diansheng is just a tiny bit larger than a standard Megaminx. Also just a tiny bit heavier. The turning is smooth, light and (crispy?). It sort of reminds me of the DaYan Megaminx, it's just light and smooth turning with that subtle 'pop' feeling when the magnets align.

All in all very happy with it, and really surprised that it's smaller. For some reason I figured it would be around the same size as the Yuxin Gigaminx, but I like that it's smaller. It feels easy to hold and turn.
