That's what EB told me after my 1st solve so I decided to not do it for the restThis is why I don't believe in leaving your other hand on the timer, there is a high chance of it stopping early.
Why? What happened?I am amazed that 3rd solve actually counted.
Oh, I just put it in slo-mo and saw.
- A6d) The competitor must stop the Stackmat timer using both hands, placed flat on the sensors with palms down. Penalty: time penalty (+2 seconds).
Yeah rip. Just saw that too.Oh, I just put it in slo-mo and saw.
I'll talk to a delegate about it!

Maybe hand warmers can help control nerves?)))))

I would guess it's to stop the timer faster/easier as you only have to move your solving hand to the timer, but it probably doesn't make much of a difference (and as we've seen here can cause accidental stops). Is there a reason why people hold the second hand on the timer? I never understood this but quite a lot of cubers do that.
I usually have the hand somewhere else, on or under the table but nowhere, where I could accidentally stop the timer.

im not great at OH, only average like 40 seconds, but I do it cuz I think it saves time. It also helps to fight the urge to use the other hand. idk if it helps but I like it quite a bit. Plus, it helps me cuz it's a consistent place so Im not searching every timeIs there a reason why people hold the second hand on the timer? I never understood this but quite a lot of cubers do that.

He said he'll talk to a couple other delegates for their opinions. Looks like a +2 to me.Eh. That is just what it looks like to me. I would get other people's opinions as well because they might interpret it differently than me.

I used them later in the competition when Nate Minkevich let me borrow his lolMaybe hand warmers can help control nerves?
