Hi everyone, I am currently interested in modifying a rs3m 2020 or 2021, but I have a few questions. Firstly, I want the cube to have maglev. I understand that rs3m 2021 is already maglev and that if I get a rs3m 2020, I will have to purchase the maglev conversion kit from Thecubicle.com. The price of buying a rs3m 2020 along with conversion kit is the same as buying a complete rs3m 2021. I'm leaning towards getting the complete 2021, but my second question will explain why I'm still not sure. Second question: I also want a magnetic core, but the Cuber's Home conversion kit is labeled as compatible with the rs3m 2020 because the corner pieces have a hole in them. For those of you who have a rs3m 2021 and a 2020, do both corner pieces have a hole in which the corner magnet piece can fit into?

a reply would be much appreciated and would save me the hassle of buying multiple parts!!!

the one problem is that the corner stalks will most likely be to big so if you can maybe buy the cube with the magnetic core already installed 2021: https://www.thecubicle.com/products/ch-moyu-rs3-m-2021-3x3-maglev?_pos=8&_sid=c7698e9c8&_ss=r 2020: https://www.thecubicle.com/products/ch-moyu-rs3-m-2020-3x3?_pos=7&_sid=c7698e9c8&_ss=r

you could get the ys3m or super rs3m (if you want core magnets then get ball core)

I have an RS3M 2021 with the cubers home magnetic core, and added repelling edge magnets last night. Cube was already good, but those additions are choice.
I have heard that that exact build makes for a heavier cube. Do you know how much it weighs? Also, how are slice moves with that many magnets? THX for commenting, it gives me more options!

It's 95.16g. Very chonky cube, especially compared to the Tornado V3, which is my main. Slice moves are decent, the cube actually turns like a much lighter cube since I drilled into the edge feet and glued in the repelling magnets, but you notice the weight in a long session. Still lighter than when I had the extra magnets added to the interior of the edge pieces and no magnets in the feet of the edges, and better performing too. Honestly though, making this cube would cost almost as much as getting a Tornado V3, and that cube is so much better than this.

if I were you, just go for the Super RS3M Ball-core... $20
the actual Ball Core is excellent and well designed
it's all ready with everything you've mentioned and it is a good cube

I like it better than the Tornado v3 which has really limited adjustment options
since you cant mess with the screw and all 5 elasticity settings still make the cube super tight 😐

My friend @White KB says that setting 2 is way too loose and I hate setting 3 which is what it was on. idk but I threw it on setting 2 and now it just is there

Thank you, very helpful information.
