Upcoming puzzles

also, 3 magnets for maglev? what is this, the peak s3r?
And the problem with this is?

Just because Cubicle dunked on the S3R's quad spring design doesn't mean that their dunking actually had merit. Cubicle has no mechanism experts on their team, at least not since Chris Tran left years ago.

Cubicle just released these puzzles made by vietnamese puzzle designer Mai Phu Son.

Also, sweet! Always love to see big companies supporting small designers and introducing great ideas.

Does anyone actually use these DianSheng puzzles?

And anyone know when Qiyi will make a new 2x2 that people can actually buy (rip Valk)?

Doesn't Qiyi make the MGC 2x2?

it's a good one.

This is a serious thread for discussion on upcoming puzzles.

The Valk line is gradually replaced by the X-man line since the contract between Mats Valk and Qiyi has come to an end.
Qiyi does have a Flare 2x2 under the X-man line after the Valk2 M and Valk2 LM.

BTW speaking of upcoming 2x2 releases, I am really looking forward to the moretry 2x2. The CEO of moretry cube MianTao Xu was the chief designer of the mgc line in yj and designed the mgc 2x2 and Mgc Elite 2x2 back then. Looking forward to seeing new innovations and upgrades on 2x2 from moretry cube.
However, according to cube whole seller in China, moretry cube as a relatively new brand, they do not own their own factory. They only have an office designing their cubes and they pay factories to actually produce their puzzles. As of Chinese tradition, factories stop in Lunar new year for like a month and increase their price tag of production as they resume after Lunar new year holidays. Accompanied by the increasing cost of magnets in China where the moretry tianma x3 utilises magnets a lot, the moretry tianma x3 has pretty much been discontinued at the moment.

Finally a video on the Nano coated YS3M Ball core maglev. In Japanese he mentioned that the UV coated version not only has better grip, but also has slightly lighter turning and performs even better than the Ball core maglev YS3M.
