Should WCA delegates be paid a nominal fee?

Doesn't someone also think if we're paying them, they must do their job correctly? Like if they mis-scramble, they have to pay a fine etc? To prevent things like the recent Singapore championship?
Do you get fined for every mistake you do at your job?

Well, we also have to remember that things such as mis-scrambles will always occur sometimes. in the end, delegates are human too and make mistakes. I wouldnt charge a fine for things like that, especially when they put so much effort into these things
I dunno how it works elsewhere but the comps I'm at, delegates generally aren't doing the scrambling. Like maybe 10% of the groups, if that. Delegates should be moving around, overseeing things, answering questions and making decisions, not stuck behind a table doing scrambles.

So the WCA, a Non-Profit organization from what I remember, needs to drop that title

Different countries may have different definitions of non-profit, the WCA's declaration of non-profit is found here, from the IRS, a United States government organization. Managing for-profits versus non-profit in different countries seems like an unnecessary complication to an already arguably unnecessary addition.

Delegates do not misscramble. Comps choose people to do certain tasks so it is unlikely that a delegate misscrambled.
