So, I'm going to be at my first comp in about 10 days, and I absolutely cannot wait! I am going to be filming my experience and posting it here. As long as my mom lets me use her phone. I am ecstatic, and really hope I get good times and what not! I'd really appreciate if some of you guys could give me some tips on things I could do before and during the comp to help me out with my chances. wish me luck and have a good day (good night for me, but...)

Also! please answer to the poll and tell me if i will lose the comp!

I have a comp on the 11th to. Its in Washington.
My next comp is on the 18th (FMC Anglo America, Irvine location)

I also have UCSD Spring on April 2 and Give Back RPV on the 29th, and a comp I'm organizing on May 13.

but SoCal LITERALLY HAS COMPS EVERY SINGLE WEEKEND UNTIL MID-JUNE NO CAP

FMC 🤨

I'd think I'd quit cubing all together if my friends made me go to a competition with only FMC.
Respect to you for being able to spend three hours watching people write notation 👍

I wish my area had comps that frequently, and all the ones in the Pacific Northwest are in western Washington, except for the one I'm going to on the 11th and then another one I can't go to (but those are still Central Washington)

Yeah that kinda sucks
I mean, I'm glad that there are comps at all and I'm grateful to the people who organize them, it'd just be nice if there were some closer to me. I also play softball in spring and summer so I pretty much have games every weekend, so sometimes I just hope I get lucky and there's a comp on a day I don't have a game. I might organize a comp this fall.

I completely relate to this, that's why I'm organizing a comp of my own.

I had my first comp relatively recently. I think it's important to go in with the mindset that the overall goal is to have a nice time, and accept that it's pretty likely that results won't be the same as your at-home results.

Good luck!
