I prefer the inverse, y x y' x', because that preserves the corner anyway and I find it easier to start the alg with a rotation along the horizontal axis because that requires less wrist power.

Although that alg is very easy to remember, I can see why you wanted a more ergonomic parity alg. By the way, isn't it weird that the 1x1 parity alg has an even number of moves in QTM? It's almost like it doesn't do anything...
