I just started cubing a month and half ago. Was bored crossed a challenge of michelle karre with Jperm as coach to solve under 1 minute in a week time on YouTube

Somehow it click something In me and I bought a cube ( gan13) at started learn and solving.

I haven’t record my solve time because i am learn beginners cfop. But I really enjoy just solving the cube. One day I hope to become sub 25 . But I am 47 old so I will do my best bit it is sometimes hard to see how fast young people improve.

so far this is by far the best community I come a cross in my life and I hope to be part of it for a long time

FWIW I think Roux is a better match for what most older solvers will enjoy. Less memorization, more imagination - solves in 30s while turning at about 1.3 turns per second are quite achievable.

Welcome to the forum. Good to see other older cubers here.

Our progress may be slow but with practicing we will get better. Sub25 may be hard but I think its realistic.
I did my first Sub25 yesterday after half a year. Maybe it takes longer for you (I practice a lot), or maybe you are more talented and can reach this goal faster, but I belive in you 😜

And with the GAN 13 you have at least the perfect hardware and can't blame the cube.
I would recommend to also get a GAN Smartcube. They are all very good and for me it's fun to see the statistics, train the algs...
