Hi,
I startet cubing in 2010 with the age of 16 and dropped it for university in 2014. You all know what cubing era that was.
Now I'm a teacher and did a cubing related project with my students. It was so much fun I picked it up again (around July)
I need to say that im impressed by how much cubing changed.
I have the impression cubing changed alot during the corona pandemic. You can see a transition from low 4s being special to becoming normal for top cubers.
I'm just sad that I don't have as much practice time as with 16. I'll try what I can accomplish nevertheless.
Happy Sunday!

- ZBLL is much more common, algorithm sets in genereal seem to be more optimized.
- Cubing hardware! I got a Moyu WR M 2021 MagLev and a new 4x4x4 and 5x5x5
- speedcubedb is nice also
- Tymon, Max, Matty, Leo...world records...
- 4x4?! sub 1 6x6??! What. I think cubing hardware is important here.
- The quality of YouTube content also improved
- Much more registered WCA competitiors, 3000 people officially sub10. Cubing seems to keep booming.
