should wca use tiebreaker for tied world record?

Yes
Max doesn't deserve the wr 😡😡😤😤
That's not what I am saying. What I meant is that because they both tied, its fine they both share the record. I'm not saying Tymon shouldn't have the record, even though I do agree, in my humble opinion, that Max should have the world record (for the tiny difference between the records and because he has the most recent). But, trying to change the system the wca already has in place for this kind of situation doesn't need to happen right now, as it will start a whole debate, that at the moment, is unnecessary. So, yes, in the future this should change, and Max Park should have the record by himself. But, for now, let's not go into this kind of debate.

I could be wrong, because then your argument doesn't make any sense, but I'm guessing you mean the non-rounded average, which is actually in favor of Tymon.
because he has the most recent
I would argue, that if there could only be one record-holder (which isn't a good idea), it should be the one who got it first, so could you explain why the record should belong solely to the person who was only able to tie it?

I'm pretty sure Max beat Tymon by the third decimal place ( which I could be wrong, in which case, Tymon deserves the title).

In the event of most recent, that is a matter of personal opinion, in which I vote for Max. Though I could see the argument of "Tymon got it first so he deserves it," but that won't change my mind. And me trying to convince you that my opinion is right, won't change your opinion, since you believe yours is right. Maybe you're right, maybe I'm right, but that doesn't matter. It's called "personal opinion" in the since that we personally believe ourselves to be right. Maybe you're right, maybe I'm right, but, we must accept that not everyone thinks the same as we do. Trying to change each other's minds is pointless and a waste of time. You think Tymon deserves the record, I'm fine with that.
The fact of the matter is, trying to vocally debate who gets the tie breaker is useless, which is why, I think the tie system should exist. And, unless a physical tiebreaker race is decided on (which is unlikely), the tie system should stay. Let's leave it at that.

I just told you that Tymon's Average is faster prior to rounding.

Also I would like to ask a question regarding your opinion that there should only be one record holder and that recency is a valid tiebreaker. Who is going to have the record if 2 people get the same record-breaking Single/Average in the same round, i.e. 2 competitors get a 0.48 2x2 Single on the same scramble?

Except giving it to the most recent goes against pretty much every tiebreaker system ever invented. Besides, the most logical first tiebreaker (most tiebreaker systems have multiple layers) for an average would be to give it to whoever has the better single, which would give the WR to Tymon. It’s clear to me that you just think Max is better so you think he deserves it. Why else would your logic be so backwards?

I think a tied record is fine, but if one of them had to hold the record, I'd think Tymon because I would think that you have to BEAT a record and Tymon got it first. Also in a competition I went to I had the same average in the final but they came ahead of me because they had a faster single.(Tymon has a faster single). I can't think of a reason for max to have it apart from 3rd decimal place. (Unless theres another reason)

The idea that you would take a world record away from someone who didn't get actually get beaten makes absolutely no sense to me.

That's also how I see it. They can share it or use a tiebreaker but the one who had it first was not beaten, so he should definitly keep it.

For me it's completly OK if they share the record.

And I guess one of them will beat the record in the next time anyway 😋

I will confess that it's a little weird that, for world record averages, we don't do tiebreakers but, when deciding podiums at competitions, we use fastest single as a tiebreaker. That seems a little inconsistent.

Max’s worst solve and best solve were both slower than tymon’s. He also got luckier with 2 PLL skips in the average with tymon’s all fullstep. So for me that eliminates any chance of max winning a tiebreak. Just let them share until one of them beats it
