So, I made a poll with the question of whether fto should be added into the wca or not. There was a very mixed response, but there were also a lot of suggestions for other events to be added. So i made a poll for that.
Let me know if a forgot anything.
Magic and Master were WCA events. But they got removed because you were literally doing the same thing, like cupstacking, over and over again. Hopeing to twist the thing a little better than the last.

i know no one would probably support me on this, but i really want them to add 8x8 and 9x9, maybe even a little bigger like up to 13x13, lol.
The most common argument against these is that they don't add anything over 6 and 7. And that is mostly true. 8 has some larger cube aspects that 6 doesn't have but 7 does and it is one layer more than 6 in both C and E but that's it.
The most compelling argument in my Opinion is that, while an 8 and 9 average at home are fun, where everything isn't as crucual, at competitions, where scrambles SHOULD be correct and 'fast' to execute so nobody has to wait that long for their next solve and the flow should stay going so the competition isn't 4 hours over the time schedule, these problems start to occur.

master pyra, kilominx, FTO are most likely to be added. Feet was unique but I assume they're not bringing it back

There were reasons to remove it, but are there reasons to bring it back?

What about Skewb blindfolded, Pyraminx blindfolded, and Square-1 blindfolded?

Some people can already one-look the Skewb and Pyraminx, so it makes sense that they are added as events. Square-1 blindfolded would be fun too.
That reason is usually used as an argument against a blind event being added. It is often brought up for 2x2 blind. If the top solvers can 1-look it during inspection, then there is zero difference from the non-blind event and would be redundant to add.

They made a rule in the WCA where if you miscramble 6,7, and mega, you didn't have to fix it. I bet that rule would apply for 8&9.

also, in 6 and 7 you do a mean of 3 instead of an average of 5. i bet in 8 and 9 they could make it so that you just do one single solve. in cubes that big luck probably isnt a very big factor

IMO 3x3 with feet should absolutely be added back, since the reasons it was removed weren't very good.
Master Pyraminx and Kilominx would definitely fit in the WCA, and have many dedicated solvers already, same with FTO.
My last pick was 2x2 MBLD—I think it would just be so interesting to see what the limits of this event would be, and how top competitors would go about doing it. Would they use EG like top 2x2 solvers, or would they stick to more traditional BLD methods? When doing attempts of over 100 cubes (which I'm positive would happen), how long would they take to memorize each 2x2? r

Reason why they removed feet was because it was unsanitary. Who wants to touch a puzzle after someones... feet were on it.

bring it back because the reasons to remove it weren't good. also in general feet heavily prioritizes move efficiency and ergonomics so maybe move efficient Petrus could be viable.

Foot can be smelly if you sweat a lot but I think that is solved by washing and showering
