I was wondering how some people took their tiles off or if anyone has any idea how to do so.

So I don't get the question "Why do you need to take them off?", because I use Japanese Color Scheme. That's why.

Use a exacto knife, but be very carefull: DO NOT TRY TO FORCE THE TILES OUT, DO IT GENTLY: a friend of mine broke a center piece trying to remove the tiles, the piece broke in a way that`s impossible to fix even with super glue, so now, he have a great but useless meferts 4x4.

You only have to take off corner tiles to change the color scheme.

Except you also need to change edges for a Japanese color scheme.

Anyway, I took off the tiles by just wedging an x-acto knife underneath the tile. Some tiles have more glue than others, so it took more effort, but some just popped right off. It's really not that hard.

so i was using my scraperite to pop tiles and one of the tiles wouldn't come off so i used a flat head screw driver to pop it out and it broke in half. so i have a half tile left on my cube...
i can't get it off for anything

I used the end of a really blunt knife and just stabbed the tiles off with the cube held in one hand on the table. A sturdy chisel would probably be easier and maybe a little safer.

This method can damage the surface of the table and cause tiles to fly off.

If you're U18 then get your parents to help you out.

I used a utility knife and got them all off within 5 minutes. It was sort of like peeling an apple/potato/etc... Just stick the blade under the tile, and wait until you break the bond between the glue and the tile. Wasn't really too hard at all :/
