Taking off Megaminx tiles?

So I already read the thread similar to this, about some guy who wanted to change to Japanese Color Scheme but I've got some other stuff.

So, I guess I was being really stupid (as always) and accidentally got stabbed by my utility knife in my left index finger and then I tried using my scrape-rite blade and now both sides of the blade are messed up, and I only have two sides fully de-tiled..


Any advice? My pieces are soaking in water as we speak, so I'll see how that goes in the morning, but is there anything else that's relatively safe? (preferably not with a utility knife, but if it sounds safe enough, I'll try it)

I think I know how you should do it.... wait a sec.

edit: Hold them like in the pics, and gently take the utility knife and pry away from your body.(and hands.) Preferably holding the edge with pliers.

If it's an MF8 you should smash it on the ground.

iSpinz - Hold with pliers and use a utility knife? So if I had a megaminx in front of me, the utility knife's blade's direction is straight forward?

when i de-tiled my QJ minx i just simply pry off the tiles if it's a corner piece. it's not very hard to do.

as for the edge pieces, it's a little harder. i just hold the piece in my hand and cut it off with a knife.

didn't get any injuries at all except for when i accidentally dropped the knife onto my feet.
