I'm already roasting myself so feel free to roast me ahem ahem back to our topic I average sub-22 on a rubik's brand and use Roux but at most I do like 50 solves a day is finger hurting normal or is it because I use a rubik's brand? Would the pain go away when I buy a speedcube? Thanks for your time!!!
Edit: with the help of your kind replies, I've now glued my fingers back on! Thanks

Hello there! The pure Rubik's brand cubes (from Wal-Mart and everywhere else) don't turn all that good as most people know. They require a bit of force to turn, so eventually your hands will get tired. If you're averaging 22 with that cube, it is possible that your average will go down to sub-20. Buying the newst cube won't guarantee gaster solves, but in this case the difference is significant

Having this said, there plenty and plenty and plenty of good speedcubes available right now, varying anywhere from $10 up to $60. Maybe do some research, watch videos, and ask others to find the cube that best fits you.

Hope this helps!

Get an Rs3M 2020 from SpeedCubeShop. It's really good and it's smooth too. I'm almost Sub 10 so I can tell you, it's pretty good.

If you're doing too much effort turning during the 50 solves then that could be the problem and getting a speedcube could fix that, for a good speedcube you could use the recommendations above.

But if you get a speedcube and it still hurt, your fingers could have an inflammation and should take a break, and after taking the break if it still hurts then you should go to the doctor.

Get a Moyu rs3m 2020. You will order it from different places depending on where you live.

TheCubicle.com - East half of the US
speedcubeshop.com - West half of the US
Dailypuzzles.com.au - Australia
Speedcubing.org - UK
Cancube.ca - Canada
HKnowstore.com - Middle east
Amazon.com - Anywhere, but it will probably cost a little more.

** Consider speaking with a doctor or hand specialist for advice. Get a second opinion if the situation is serious.

** Lubricate the cube with guides here.

** At your speeds, you will appreciate the performance of a good speedcube.

**You might also look at your habits. Some things that help me:

> Never solve when you have pain.

> Take a break until pain disappears

> Examine your body & technique
- Solve smoothly rather than forcefully
- Neutral position of wrists and fingers, with minimal extension of joints.
---> My piano teachers say this give max strength, max endurance, min pain
---> You can find a neutral position by standing up with your hands relaxed at your sides.

- Make sure your hands are not tense ever

> Try solving in short sessions (say 5 x 10 times)

> Low inflammation lifestyle adjustments
- Reduce sugar intake
- Increase vegtible and fruit intake
- Exercise frequently

I did an ao100 with a rubiks brand once (also use roux) and honestly doing roux's turnset can make your fingers hurt. I would strongly recommend the RS3M 2020 M, it's a very good cube. I'm averaging 10.6 and it is the best cube I've ever tried.

This might be controversial, but I would recommend getting the Tengyun V1 (not the V2). The reason I would recommend it is because it has VERY smooth slices which makes M turns for Roux very nice. RS3M 2020 is very good for CFOP users, but I think the Tengyun V1 would be better for Roux.

Yes, get a speedcube, especially since you are using roux. THe rubik's m slices can be quite painful. On the contrary, I would recommend the Meilong M more than the RS3M, but that is my opinion and the rs3m has a spring compression system.
