Any thoughts on getting better at 4x4?

1 year of cubing! In that 1 year I have completed my main goals which were to become colour neutral and sub-15 which is pretty nice. And overall cubing has been a different and fun hobby.

So, I always had this question on setting up cubes, do you need to wipe out the factory lube to lubricate the cube yourself or you can just put your own lube on top of it? Thanks in advance.

I think I finally broke the sub-15 second barrier after cubing for 10 months, now I'm getting mostly sub-15 times.
