I've a bit of a wholesome story. I was at a math conference last year and I met an old lady, maybe 80 years old. We were discussing the cube and she told me how she figured out a solution for the cube back in the 80s using just commutators and that she was very capable of figuring out a lot of things. She told me she very much wanted to solve a 7x7 as she had one but it turned too poorly for her hands but that it would be so satisfying to finally solve one. She showed me her 7x7 and it was a vcube, a reeeaally bad one, I could barely turn it. So I decided to trade with her and I gave her my aofu and she gave me her vcube. Best trade i've made to this day and i'm very excited that I will hopefully see her at the same conference very soon and find out if she solved it.

For me this is just a small moment at my first comp that just made my day. So in my first round of 3x3 at north liberty 2019, I was nervous and my heart was pounding, I sat down to solve and Brody lassener was the judge, and I think he notices that I was nervous. He said to calm down, I did my solve and afterward he asked if I had been using roux to solve and said nice. It's a small moment, but it made my day.
