Hi guys I just started cubing about a month ago and i have a couple questions. Sorry if this isnt the right place to post.

1. What is the progression of everyones cubing journey in terms of speed? Like, i have been cubing for a little over a month and average around 50s. When should i expect to be sub 40,30,20 etc? I know it obviously varies... but generally:)

2. What is the fastest you can average using the beginner method? Im currently learning f2l and 4look LL

1: It varies. But, with a decent amount of practice you can easily be sub-30 in a couple months.

Emphasis on "it varies." It took me over a year to be comfortably sub-30 with quite a bit of practice every day.

I improve very slowly compared to others; I'm about to hit the 7-year mark and I'll probably hit sub-10 at around the same time. Others are sub-10 in their first year. For that reason, it's way too hard to give a general estimate. Just for a point of comparison though, after a month I hadn't reached a sub-2 minute average yet.
