I finally broke the minute barrier. Time to start working on my f2l and continue decreasing my times.

This belongs to the accomplishment thread...

I agree. But anyway, nice job. When I broke the minute barrier myself about a month ago (I have been cubing for almost 2 months now) I started working on learning all the PLLs. If you don't know them already I would start, because it will take a while (I only have two more left to go!)

gratz. I'm stuck just above the minute barrier myself, pr 1:01.xx, and I'm decent (yet inefficient) at intuitive F2L and am using 4LLL. Of course, doing some solves last night I decided that bettering my cross could easily drop me below a minute since I'm still occasionally only getting past my cross solve around 12 seconds  Lookahead is what kills me, personally - got a webcam recently and used it to vid my solves, and i spend waaaayyyy too much time looking at the cube without turning anything. With luck practice is all I need to get better in that regard

I broke it a while back, but broke sub-51 the other day

I have been cubing for two months, but Fridrich for 1 month. I did some crappy corners first method that involved repeated algorithms till it worked but I was still like 1:15 with it.

I used to use Dan Knights's intermediate solution (LBL, basically, with Sune / Anti-Sune to correct corner orientation and then EPLL), but switched to Keyhole when I found him on YouTube.

I now use Intuitive F2L and (mostly) full LL Fridrich (lol, 12 / 21 PLLs, 17/57 OLLs).

Hehe, I meant to say sub 50 lol

You get the point :P

Any im averaging 45 at the moment!

@Spader: I'm not mad or anything but what was the point in starting this thread? Was it just to announce to everyone that you got your first sub 60 solve or do you want some tips from some experts on how to improve?

I was going to post in the accomplishment thread for beginners but I didn't see one, and since I didn't consider it a speedcubing accomplishment I didn't post it there. Sorry for posting here, but any tips would be helpful. I practice as much as I can but working full time and going to school full time and having a family makes practice time short.
