Hey Guys! I am Suryansu from India, aged 18 and I have been solving cube for like 2-3 weeks now so yeah pretty new to it. My average is 2.5 minutes and my PB is 1 min 53 seconds. I hope I can become faster and learn here from and be familiar with all.

I solve only 3x3x3 as of now but am definitely gonna use more different types of cubes later.

Just keep on solving, I'm practicing with parts.. first im getting my cross to know, then i practice by doing the white site correct... right now my personal best is on 49 seconds, and i found my method pretty good.. already made me 30 seconds better on just 1 week :D Good luck for the future !! Just write to me and i will try reply as fast as i can
(Im not a mod so dont message me about mod stuff....)

Ohh that's great :D. Wow friend you are progressing pretty well. I did get to know the cross first and then solved using beginners method, last week reached 2 mins then learnt CFOP just 2 days back and have been practicing it since then. Thanx :D Will be writing to you soon then! And yeah nice to meet you o/

Welcome! Here is some tips to improe beyond 2.5 minutes : 1. Get a new cube, I use a GTS2 for my main and I reccomend buying it 2.Practice Practice Practice! 3. try to learn the concept of cfop. what I as just learn what it is about and it doesn't hurt to learn to some algs 4. The last one... Watch cyotheking or j perm they make good video that help me improve. I hope this can help!

Thank you :) ! Ohh I used a pretty cheap one but bought a smoother one recently that rotates quite well for starters. I gonna practice on it for now and get better at my algorithms and solving before buying a better cube. Yeap sure I am learning the algorithms, though kinda slowly :D . Thank you for the advices, shall be checking out those channels soon. I had been learning the CFOP method through paradox cubing channel, will definitely check those you mentioned above.

Welcome to the community bro!

Don't learn CFOP at one specific place. You'll just have to go back and relearn bad algs later. Go to algdb.net and cyotheking.com and try out different algs for each case and find one you like. I know it sounds kind of tedious, but I just went to Google and printed out the first alg sheets I came to. And I've probably had to relearn half of oll and a quarter of pll because of it :(
Oh thank you so much for the advice. I would have certainly faced problem later had you not said about this. Shall be checking out and doing different algorithms for each case and stick to the one I find easier for me.

Welcome to the cubing community.
Thanx :)

Welcome to the community bro!
Thnx :D

You are welcomed:). It is great to have Indian cubers out here.
BTW, I am from Assam and in which part of India do you stay?
Any plans for switching from LBL to CFOP( or other speed cubing methods)?
Hey! Oh great coincidence, for I reside in Assam too. Been around 1.5 years since I shifted here, though I originally am from Odisha. Which city in Assam by the way? I live in Guwahati.
Currently it's been like around 2-3 weeks I started solving the cube and for 2 weeks I practiced Beginners method after which I switched to doing CFOP but for now I just do the Cross and F2L followed by the last layer orientation and solving using the beginner's method. Haven't learnt the algorithms yet though!

Don’t just learn cfop, learn basic roux, zz and petrus too. They’ll give you an understanding of the cube and you might be better suited to one of them than cfop. And welcome to SS!
Oh thnx for the advice :O . Will be checking them out too then :)

You can also go on cubeskills.com.

I practiced beginner's method+a bit of CFOP OLL for 6 months and I got to be sub 40.
You should try that too.:D

Ohh that's great :O :D .
I currently do Cross and F2L followed by solving the last layer by beginner's method but, will soon be checking the OLL algos along with ZZ and other methods too :) .
