So for the past day I have been doing some 2x2x3. I got a 3.03 avg 12 which idk if it is UWR but if it is tell me. The method that I used I believe is better than other "Squan alg" methods. Basically what I do is solve the corners like a 2x2, rotate, then use "E" and R moves to solve the middle layer. (Technically I am doing M U moves because I rotate.) This method is really easy to one look so yeah. Idk if people actually use this method to solve the 2x2x3 fast but I was pretty sure they just use Squan algs, but tell me if I am mistaken. Here are the scrambles if you want to try them.

Surely solving corners first you're still going to be using Square-1 algs?

It seems like the 2 methods for 2x2x3 are this:
  • Solve corners, solve E
  • Solve E, solve corners

My method is the second, basically solving what I can while solving E at the start, then doing the rest 2 gen. I only have a 3.09 Ao12 though :p

Nolmy300, are you talking about a method similar to this: http://solvexio.cf/app/#/MiniTower_Page

except that you a doing one-look at the end for the "E" Slice/"M" layer ?
how many Orienting-while-Permuting algs are there for that one-look?

Yes that is what I am basically using. And what I was talking about one looking is because I am using 2x2 algs for this it is very similar to just one looking 2x2

how do you use 2x2 algs since the corners of a 2x2x3 can't get oriented in the same way those on a 2x2 can?
On a 2x2x3, the end colors are always on the ends.

can you give us an example, please?
