I recently got back into BLD (About a month ago after a 3 year break) and i noticed that i'm solving edges first... When i used to solve corners first. I have no idea where i learnt the parity method from but it was in there, and that lead me to wondering what is better? Edges or Corners first, i guess their are pros and cons to both and i would like to know what you do and why.
I'm also pretty proud with my progress over the past month, Learning corner comms very fast as of recently, i have been keeping a written documentation of all my attempts and ideas. Exactly 40 days ago i had a PB of 7 mins and no possible average or mean, and now my PB stands at 1:11.434 with a Mo3 of 1:30.994 and (When i'm aiming for accuracy) usually around 2 minutes with an 85% accuracy.
I use edges first because parity is very simple to avoid, corners are easier to store in images. I like to string the first 8 letters of edges into groups of 4 with any remaining edges going into a very short term image whilst i'm sounding out the first 8 and then i remember flipped edges and twisted corners visually.
Let me know your process. (And any tips i can try to improve)
