Does anyone else have the issue of planning cross, and finding the edge and corner for your first pair, then being unable to lookahead where the other 3 F2L corners?
I have recently ran into this problem with tracking once i got to sub 19, and have tried to fix it.
this is one of the major reasons why i cant consistently be solving at 15.

(add in) This also contributes to why my solves look choppy, because even if i knew exactly where both pieces are, i end up forgetting the corner and stopping to see.
the solves normally go
Cross [one second to 1.5]
first pair [finished in about .5 or .75]
pause, looking for piece of the pair im doing, and locating next (around 5 second mark)
pause, not remembering what pair i tracked (around 9 seconds)
remember and see both, solve both (around 14, 15 seconds)
OLL+PLL (16-19 second finish.)

Hi, interesting topic, because i have the same issue ahah.
I avg 16, 17+ on "bad" solves and -14 on "good" ones.
So i started training tracking cross+first pair on inspection to get permanent sub 14.
I have multiples outcomes :
- i successfully track corner + edge, the solve goes well
- i successfully track corner + edge, but i miss the execution of cross because my brain is thinking about something else
- i thought i successfully tracked both but i was wrong, im lost after cross
- i can't track anything because cross is hard
For example it's still hard for me to do cross+first pair blindfolded
Part of this is that it's still hard for me to plan where the white sticker of the corner is gonna end. I know for the edge thanks to eo, but for the corner i mainly go "ah, it will be there, but idk how oriented".
I heard the main purpose of doing that is to look ahead for the 3 other pairs when u do cross + first pair, but that's exactly where it's hard because brain+fingers must execute the good planned solution for cross and first pair while looking ahead... Lot of informations for my brain lmao
Any way to train it ? Is blinfolded the only way to go ?
Good luck on your training, it's painful but rewarding when everything goes well.

one thing that works pretty well, for me at least, is to only track the next pair. dont try to look ahead 2 pairs, because it will end up messing with the planned cross.
i dont do cross+1 in my solves, yet we average the same.
