Hi All,
So a bit about me... I'm 39, Have learnt and re-learnt to solve the 3x3 cube a few times. First time possibly early 90's. Method was from a book a young kid had written, one face, then corners, to edge OLL and then edge PLL, would take me about 10min to solve. Then every few years would pull out the book and re-learn the algs... getting to around the 2min mark for solves.
Then February this year saw Lucus's WR 4.9 on youtube and decided to learn a speed solving method and replace my old rubix brand cube with a true speed cube.
Using CFOP, with 2 look OLL (+a few easier cases), Full PLL. Usually getting some practice in every day. Current best times below for 3x3.
time 24.46
mo3 31.43
ao5 33.09
ao12 36.88
ao50 38.86
ao100 39.91

Hey
Welcome!

In Brisbane there's been only 1 official competition, and there's been quite a few meet ups.
You can find information about the meet ups either on the Facebook page: "Cubing in Queensland" or the Brisbane cubing forum here.

Yeah, disappointing about the lack of Brisbane comps. Thanks for making sure I knew about the facebook page a brisbane forum.
