I was wondering what color everyone uses to form their cross. Do you always have a set color that you use to start with? Or do you try to scout out an "easy" color during your 15 seconds of inspection time?

I uh make two crosses. One on the White face and one on the Blue (which are opposite on my cube). I tend to stick to the same colors so that I can hold the cube the same way each time and become familiar with the orientation of the colors... If I keep changing the colors on the faces it causes me to hesitate... moreso when I've 3-4 cubes with different sticker orientations ;p

I always start with white because you nearly always can solve the Cross in 7 moves

Sorry if I get you wrong, but that sounds a bit like you are thinking that you can only do that with white ;-) Of course you can do the cross in 7 moves, no matter which color you start with.

I always start with white because ... I have too much delays when starting with another colour
Aren't you confusing cause and effect now.

I you wouldn't always start with white you also wouldn't have much delays when starting with another colour right?

And yes, this question has come up in a previous thread, but so have hundreds of other questions (where to buy, how to lube, how to become faster). That is just the nature of current forums where it is easier to start a new thread than to find an old one.

i do white because i can remember the color scheme better with the white side down, for example:whats red +yellow?orange1whats on the other side of red?orange! same with the blue/green relationship.
