I don't like my YuLong, it tensions itself (and unevenly), and lube doesn't help, nor does self-tensioning the cube.
Help? :(
It might be an issue with the thread inside the core(might be damaged) or the springs/washers.

Did you see washers between the spring and the center piece and are they flawless? Do the screw heads look flawless?

YJ yulong review

Brought mine from UK cube store in March this year.

It is a great puzzle and was my second speed cube, and was also my main before I got my fangshi shuangren v2

It has a fairly loose feeling, and feels a little scratchy as well.

Pros:
-Cheap price
-Great begginer/intermediate cube
-Fairly smooth feel
-Feels very stable
-Nice corner cutting

Cons
-Have had lots of corner twists
-Isn't fast enough for me
-Sometimes pops during fast algs

Overall is a great cube though, I would highly recommend it.

I think the Yulong is an amazing cube I bought it at Cubedepotusa.com about two months ago and it turned beautifully out of box but my only problem is I tryed to tension it just recently and I failed epically so the turning is a bit sluggish now... Is there any proper way to tension/lube it and if so what lube should I buy as I'm only just starting to get into speed solving? I avg about one minute with this cube right now partially because of the cube and because I'm trying to learn CFOP so my recognition is a little off. Any suggestions on lube and tensioning tutorials???

Thoughts on the Puzzle:

The YJ Yulong is a very nice cube. When I bought it, it was around $9; not very expensive. It was my first speedcube and I really enjoyed it at the time. It has a smooth and clicky feel, and is very stable. My Yulong can corner cut at most 45 degrees with force and reverse half of a cubie. This stickerless puzzle also has nice, bright shades that make the cube look nice. I have to say, it does dry out fairly quickly, but when lubed, it regains its smoothness and speed. I would definitely recommend this cube to beginner cubers. However, more advanced cubers would probably prefer more modern speedcubes since the Yulong can catch quite a bit.

Overall Rating: 8/10

OMG, I think this cube will be my new main.

It is very good out of the box.

Upside:
-It is fast,
-controlable.
-Does not pop
-Nice sound
-Smooth
-Does not lock.

Downside:
-Corner twists occur
-Outer layer could maybe be more stable

Just curious, which cube will it be replacing as your main?
