You know Lucas, right? Would you be up for sending him a PM with a synopsis of what's going on?
- If you overinspected and the judge didn't tell you "go," your solve will not be DNFed, as decided in regard to Chris Olson's 1.71 2x2 average.
- If you recieved a misscramble that was accidental, that you didn't know about at the time of the solve, and that didn't clearly give you an advantage, your solve will not be DNFed, as decided in regard to Feliks Zemdegs' 6.88 OH single.
- If you recieved the same scramble twice, the second solve of that scramble will be DNFed. It clearly gives you an advantage to have seen the scramble before and you're doing the wrong thing by not posting the video and allowing an average that includes an illegitimate solve to stand.
- If you had a solve with an obvious +2 that wasn't marked, your solve will retroactively be +2'd, I assume. If you had a solve with a cube that was 46 degrees off, I'm guessing the original "no +2" ruling will stand.
- If there are no issues with the WCA regs and you're not posting the video because you're dissatisfied with the quality of the footage, the community would much rather see a mediocre video proving that your record is legitimate than not have a video and have to wonder. Please post it.
Of course, Lucas isn't obligated to listen to any of this. He doesn't owe us a video. But if he's unsure if he can post the video without losing the NAR, maybe this will help clear things up. More reg-related gray areas than this could come up, but this list is a good start.
