Should I make a store at a comp I'm going to?

im planning to make a store at the comp at costa mesa where SCS is going to be. speed cube shop. I will hide my inventory in my backpack so no one steels it and have a sign that says "twisty puzzle store"
im getting money for a birthday package for me and because im poor. xD
Please tell me if i should , why or why not,
what prices to change, why or why not
and anything else

hmmmm, i think that including this bit of information here might just contradict the definition of "hiding"...


otherwise, everything seems reasonably priced but if you are intending to haggle you should list the puzzles for a greater price than you believe to be fair. that way it looks like your givingsomething up without actually experiencing any loss on your part.
and yeah, like sarah said, you certainly should check with the competition organizers (and posably even the venue owners, but thats above my knowledge in this matter)

It's not really a store. It's just you selling your extra cubes. I wouldn't call a yard sale a "store".

I'm going to this comp. You gotta check with organizers, Not Kevin, and the venue to see if it's okay. SCS is vending there (idek that they are vending) because they are an actual store and they got permission, not just Cameron selling second hand cubes out of his backpack. Also, I would say your prices are kind of high. $10 for a LanLan skewb? That's higher than what you can get in store .BTW, saying that there will a sign saying "twisty puzzle store" may alert some people.

I do agree with natezach728 about having to check with organizers and delegates. It may be too much trouble, and I think it's best not to do it at the actual competition.

A better way to sell your cubes is to probably have people arrange deals with you on what they want to buy. This is normal and a lot of people do it this way. That way there aren't any problems.

And I do think that they may be too high, maybe check other stores' prices and discount your cubes off of their prices, that way they seem more attractive.
