[WR] Nathaniel Berg - Rubiks Clock 5.25 single

In my opinion, if you can't solve through a distraction then you aren't worth a Panshi.

Who's talking about not being able to solve? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Straw_man

So if A breaks 3x3 WR with 5.45 seconds and yells around excessively, causing B to get distracted and get 5.46 instead of 5.44, that's totally super and A is awesome for it? I don't think so.

Some times it just sucks to to be B. That's how I see it anyway. Distractions in whatever form are a part of competitions.

Also, you know very well what that my original post was not meant to be taken literally, and you were probably the only person who did take it so.

also while I'm not too good at clock, I have tried the scramble and its nothing too spectacular, so the chances of other people getting good times on it are less , just saying.

Did that happen here? Nope. Nobody else was even solving at the time, so please quit picking a dumb, pointless fight.

And you think these guys knew that? How? They all glorified the reaction before it was clarified.

By far my favorite reaction ever
Good job!
Love the reaction! Nice job!
Nice reaction! Well deserved!
Amazing reaction, amazing solve!

Why don't you let them speak for themselves, and stop with the arguments. I appreciate everything you have done for the community, but don't become so self-righteous that you believe that you can point out small fallacies that no one truly cares about and expect us to back off. You said something that, to you, made sense, but when it came to the RESULTS OF THE PAST, and not just hypothetical scenarios, you were wrong. If you want to pick fights and have people like you to argue with, find somewhere. Let Nathaniel celebrate, he deserves it.

I'm pretty sure it wouldn't have mattered if someone got distracted or not. The point is that it's a world record (His first world record I might add, and this is after failing to get this record once before), along with what he knew would be a very very fast ER average. I honestly think telling someone like this to hold back their excitement because some kid might get thrown off is too much to ask for. Sure, it would be unfortunate if that person's solve was going to be a good time for them, but like other people have said in the thread, too bad.

i don´t get you Stefan.. i got the world record no one in the room was solving a cube officialy at the time so what is it really to argue about? it was my first world record and it came really unspekted the scramble wasnt really anything speciell, dident even notice until like 3 seconds after i got the time that it was world record becuse i only tought about ER at the time i stood up and then i saw thats its .02 better then WR and then i got super happy. i get your argument that people could be distracted if they would have a chance on world record on the same scramble but at this competition i was the only one that had a chance to break WR in clock the rest of the people was 6 seconds slower...
