Last 2 centers on 7x7?

I just got a SS 7x7, and so far the only part that is really holding me back is finishing the last two centers. I searched around and I couldn't find any tutorials that really explained what they were doing; Most seemed to resemble walkthrough solves more than anything else. Could somebody point me to a tutorial that would help me figure out this step? I would really appreciate it. Thanks!

You want to build the very outside bar for last, and then you will probably have to learn a commutator. Check out crazybadcuber's tutorial for last 2 centers on a 7x7. Or you could just look up any 7x7 tutorial and skip to where they talk about the last two centers.

What I (and most people) do for last two centers:
1) Build the middle 5x1 block on the F face
2) Build the left inner 5x1
3) Build the left outer 5x1
4) Build the right inner 5x1
5) Last 5x1, you will need to learn the commutator alg for this.

Hope this helps :)

Thanks! I looked aroumd a bit, and I was only able to find the Niklas commutator. Should that be the only one I need?

IMO it works much better to build the 5x1s starting on the left, that way you can use the M slice for the first 2 strips.

Got a 7x7 today and have just done my first solve. I needed the cbc video to finish the last 2 centers (I have trouble watching MMAP). He takes it a little quickly for me but a few rewinds and I got there. It was a bit more like hard work than fun but I got there.
I hadn't realised that it would be trickier than a 5x5, I just thought it would take longer.
Anyway it's solved so I'm going to wrap it as a Xmas gift to myself as my wife refused to get it for me. She thinks I have enough cubes (like there's any such thing).
I did a 4x4 solve straight after and it was like playing pool after snooker.

Awesome! I remember thinking the same thing when I got my 7x7. Your wife is wrong. The correct number of cubes to own is X+1, where X represents the number of cubes you currently own. Also, I love going to smaller cubes from really big cubes, it makes them feel so smooth.
