This method can also apply to a 6x6, but you will reduce to a 4x4. So you will make the inner 2x2 block, then make pairs with 2 edges not 3, then you solve like a 4x4.

That seems a little slow.... I really don't feel like scrambling my 7x7 to find out which is faster, but that seems like a lot of work.

It's not that slow, but then again its a method thats for beginners. Its pretty easy to understand and its just ripping off moves from previous cubes ie. 5x5. Thanks for the comment though
