I think 7x7 record has a lot of room for improvement, not sure though since I can't really solve much higher than a 4x4.

I predict next WR will be 1.38 seconds faster.

mattia and vlad can definitely go faster than this, don't forget Feliks and Kevin too, I think all of them might have sub 2:30 in the past

Guys, what did you expect? That was the first Russian WR, thus the reaction is quite predictable. Many people tried to reach the top of the rankings, the whole community (which isn't even mature yet) waited for Russian cubers' skills to reach the level of top-class cubers. Eventually, Vlad accomplished the thing others didn't manage to.
From my part, I congratulate Vlad with the record, and I encourage him not to stop, but push his solve times down to zero, to be an inspiration for all the members of our Russian community.
