[WR] Antoine Cantin - 8.75 3x3 One-Handed single

Pretty happy about this one :D
Dem pauses though D:

(If the video isn't embedded properly, please tell me how.)
Isn't working for me, I use:

and that seems to work for me (but idk if anyone else has problems embedding like that).

Nice solve, and congrats on the WR. Shame about the pauses :(

Wow! Awesome!! Super ridiculously fast. Reminiscing on days when we used to joke about breaking the 2H WR with a OH solve about this fast. Imagine doing this in Yu Nakajima's time when 8.72 was the record. People wouldn't have believed it. In. Sane. Good job!

What does 'pushing the zhanchi corners' mean?

It means exactly that. Especially with the old Zhanchis, after a bunch of solves, the three components of each corner start to separate a little, making the cube clunky and bad.
Before I competed, my cube didn't feel very good, so Louis suggested I push in the corners of my Zhanchi (which he did during his average, right before getting his best solve). I did so, and got a WR!

i thought i was the only person with that problem :D surprisingly it only happened to my 55mm zhanchi, which i used exclusively for OH.

anyway, those days are over, moyu all along ^-^

Mine does this too. And yeah I switched to a more modern cube now. Reverse cutting on a zhanchi sucks.
