ZZ brag (unrelated tips appreciated!)

Basically, many people think you're lying.

Your best way to negate this is to provide some kind of evidence as soon as possible, otherwise people will remain skeptical.

FTFY

Basically, after all that has been said, i couldnt care less if this is a hoax or not, why would it matter to me how fast he is? in the end this thread is about helping him to learn zz, and ill try my best to provide help because as part of the small group of people who use zz, i feel obliged to get everyone i can on the boat.

I didn't create a thread asking for recognition :( I just explained where I'm at and asked for advice on learning a new method. I'll get a video of my solves up asap, but I don't really care whether people think I'm lying or not, I'm just doing it for those who want to see me use full ZBLL

Then why are people (including you) so concerned about me proving my speed? Why is there so much scrutiny and so little ZZ advice :(

You claim to have times that rival the best 3x3 solvers in the world in a speedsolving forum. Speedcubing is something that people enjoy; they work very hard to improve and contribute to the community that they have been a part of for years and years. So when someone comes along and lies about their achievements we don't appreciate it and we don't just ignore the signs for fear of being rude.

I don't have plans to rival 3x3 solvers. I do not wish to compete. I solve for my own entertainment . I see people lie about their times but I'm not interested in competing or talking about my times. I want to learn ZZ :(

inb4 he's actually telling the truth ..

In all seriousness I am also skeptical. 30 second average on 3BLD and 4x4. And to not even realise how remarkable that is. Impossible

What makes you think I'm concerned? I don't really care.

I'm giving you advice about how to respond to people scrutinising you.

Just so you know, people would be extremely eager to talk about ZZ with you if they though you were as fast as you say you are. Posting a video would be more than a simple quell.

You don't even need to wait for a webcam. Just have someone film you on their phone or your phone or whatever, doing an Ao5. It doesn't have to match exactly what you're saying, it just needs to be close. Plus people want to see the ZBLL stufff worked in organically. If you posted a video a sub 10 ao5 using ZBLL (which, at your speed, shouldn't take more than one or two tries), I think that would quiet most of the people on here, and get the topic back to what you originally intended.

is lying about your times something you wish to be openly acceptable?

no, but i dont know if hes lying or not, and i dont see why i should refuse to help him learn zz just because there is skepticism around.
while after the discussion i am curious wether he tells the truth or not, his times still personally dont matter to me and i wont be offended if he lied all the way... his reputation will be screwed no matter what.
I do find it wrong to clutter this thread with what is clearly off topic, when you can just patiently wait for him to prove his times and boo at him if he hasnt done it in a few days, or even just use the thread for its original purpose: providing information about the ZZ method.

(damn, im now guilty of cluttering too. **** this)

This is also not pointed at anyone specifically, i just dislike that there have been around 20 posts which didnt provide any useful info to the topic but instead discussed the legitimacy of his records. those are just two separate topics, and one of them doesnt belong in this thread.

Belief about falsehood and inability to help are not mutually inclusive and I never insinuated as such. Not sure why you're acting like I did.

I understand why many people want this, but if this guy is real, he doesnt want to compete anyway?
So if hes not gonna show a vid who cares?
It doesnt seem troll-like to ask for advice on zz

Everyone needs to chill the _ out. It really doesn't matter if he can solve as quickly as he claims, because he has no plans to compete. Clearly all this guy wants to do is ZZ, and we should keep this thread to just that.

Any of these would be great. I'd ideally like to see ALL of your algorithms, but I'm more interested in cases for now :p

I'm not al3x, but since I actually generated some of these a while back (haven't actually learned them due to laziness, but generated them anyway), here, in case they're actually useful to you/better than what you have. I don't know if these can be found elsewhere because the only place I've ever looked was the wiki database (still waiting for algdb to add ZBLL), and even that was a few months ago.

Second one: R' L U L2 U2 R U' R' U2 R L2 U2 L' (U') (R' L can be done as x' M')

Third one: x' M' U L2 U R2 (U' D2) L U L2 D2 R' L2 (U)

Fourth one: (U) L U2 R' U2 [R2 D2 (R' U R) D2 R2] U M
