ZiiCube

Since there is no lack of European speedsolvers, it's a bit sad there is no equivalent to TC or SCS for Europe. I mean not only a domestic retailer but one that sponsors cubers, produces premium cubes, and in general supported the community. Well there's this one Polish company that makes their own lube but it seems speedcubers from Europe will still use TC or SCS premium cubes because they're sponsored.
Unfortunately it's going to be quite difficult for one store to build up that sort of status in Europe, I am trying...
The problem is that shipping between countries in Europe is quite expensive and thecubicle and speedcubeshop already dominate sponsorships all around the world anyway. It's also very difficult for newer stores to justify making better sponsorship offers than the big stores.

Why is shipping so much? You would think that the EU’s open borders would prevent that.

I ordered many times from ziicube. com to Germany with shipping "special line DDP" which means that I dont have to pay extra for tax and duty. This kind of shipping from China to Germany is professional, relatively cheap and fast enough (~10days).

Even if Europe has open borders, it is international shipping with different post companies.

I also bought from Cubediction in the Netherlands, but they brought the order to a competition to avoid shipping costs. Nice service indeed.

I don't know, it's just the way it is unfortunately, the European Union has nothing to do with it, it costs the same for me to ship a cube to the far East of Russia as it does for me to ship one to Ireland or France (usually £5.35 but more when it comes with lots of accessories or big heavy boxes [cough cough MGC]). The UK is leaving the EU anyway so I had to fill in customs declarations for the first time to Europe today, it's hardly any hassle though.

The communication with ZiiCube is always minimalist, yet efficient.
I had a surprise to receive this mail this morning:
hello, UV in stock now

I think it's crystal clear, isn't it?

Yeah :)
Yeah, but they don’t make their own. He means that there should be a cube retailer in Europe that is as innovative as TC and SCS.
They have a premium line

Can someone please clarify for me if Ziicube is a legit cube shop and not a scam, and if so how would you rate it. I am okay with long shipping times which is to be expected from ordering really cheap cubes from china.
It is legit, It will probably take 2 weeks to 2 months to arrive to US though.

Even more confusingly, there is a store called Z-CUBE which I don't think is the same. https://cubepuzzle.aliexpress.com/store/801230?spm=a2g0o.detail.100005.1.56995eecObajV9
Their store page says "Champions Cube Store", but afaik they aren't the same as https://www.championscubestore.com/ aka 51morefun.

And there's also this company that produces their own puzzles under the Z CUBE name and I'm not sure which.

Z-cube are another cube retailer/wholesaler, they make a few of their own cubes and sell most other cubes both wholesale and retail.
