Yuxin 4x4 Constant Catching

Whenever I turn fast like when doing an alg, I felt that it catches a whole lot. I understand that it does lock up occasionally and the internal edge might catch, but my 4x4 catches like a gans 356. The corners are like the yuxin 3x3 corners which is also similar to the gans 356 corner but rounded. The corner catches on the center pieces like a gans 356. What should I do?
Also I'm thinking what I got wasn't a yuxin 4x4, but it's quite unlikely as it came in a yuxin 4x4 box, it has florian cut/holes like on the yuxin 4x4 stickerless, and the edge looks similar if not the same. Corners are like the gans 356's except more rounded like the yuxin 3x3, which was weird as 4x4 doesn't corner twists as far as I know.
So the short version is, my yuxin 4x4 corners catches on the center pieces like a gans 356.
Any help appreciated. Would be best if I don't have to do any modding to my cube.

That's what I did but I realised that tightening it made it very sluggish (till the point where I would rather use my aosu) and maru did little effect.
Oh and another thing I should mention is that my tensions are currently stock/out of the box tensions.

I had this exact same problem ( in fact i actually came here for help too). None of the things mentioned helped, so i just let it go. Then on my 2x2 (also yuxin), the internal pieces were catching a lot, so i decided to see if taking the internals out would reduce it, it did, now it doesn't catch, lock, or anything. So i tried it on my 4x4, and got the same result. So try taking 2 of the small internals out on opposite sides. (sorry i went off on a whole other subject :P)

Oh, no, then your cube won't work ;) just two of the small pieces on each side WIN_20160111_083357.JPG like this, you'll remove 4 in total, two on the top layer, and two on the bottom layer.

Like 2 from white blue and white green edge, and 2 from yellow red and yellow orange?
Also any popping problems?

one from each edge, and there are absolutely no popping problems. Also, loosen the tensions a little bit.

Edit: One from each edge you mentioned, not every single one.

From my experience, it is very picky about how it's tensioned. You can find this sweet spot that isn't to slow, and it doesn't have the catching issues. It isn't very big, and you have to play with it a lot, but it's there. Try messing with the tensions a bunch before doing anything else. If you can't get it how you want, then you can try mods to it.

this^^

How many turns of the screw did you do?
Also, what are the mods? I know a mod about sanding down the inner edge but I don't need to do that as the internal edges on mine doesn't catch a lot, it's the corner that catches.

Ok, discard everything i said earlier. I think it was just placebo (because it worked on the 2x2). I put the pieces back in and it preforms just the same. As mentioned before, just loosen the tensions, doesn't matter how how turns, just find where you like it, and break it in, lube it if you want to (mine is unlubed), but its unnecessary.

I don't know how many turns, but the diffrence (for me at least) was like an 8th of a turn. Any looser and it catches a ton, any tighter and it doesn't turn very well.

Loosened it until it barely catches. Suddenly pops twice while solving. Never gonna find the right tension :/
