This is a quote I've heard a lot, not necessarily in this exact formatting, but the general idea is pretty common.

I have to denounce this. While having an undisputed solver who is the best in the world isn't always fun (it can make cubing predictable, and a classic example of total domination in sport is Max Verstappen and Formula 1 or Magnus Carlsen and chess), Yiheng is not the undisputed best solver in the world. Max Park, Tymon, Bofan, Seung Hyuk Nahm and Ruihang (among others) exist.

On a personal note: I am nowhere (and will never be) near as good as Yiheng, and I still find cubing fun.

Case in point: having an undisputed best does not necessarily make cubing boring and Yiheng is not the undisputed best in the world (at least he doesn't have anything on the scale Feliks had and Max has), and we need to accept this.

Got the news as soon as my Fanxin Hudong 3x3 arrived yesterday.
Now I'm seriously considering incinerating all my 3x3 and take up chess...
With Felixs, I can pretend to aim for his "impossible" but human-like PBs.
Now we have aliens like Yiheng, Max and Tymon. And the PRC has a few other tiny alien-monsters-in-waiting...🤨

Doesn’t magnus carlsen literally beat computers though, thats not much better…

Edit: he doesnt beat computers, he’s still super dominant, same deal
