Interesting that Rumin was filming that solve. I assume his family has disbelieved the (admittedly) well-founded accusations against him, but I guess we'll never know.

So sad, he DNFed 2x2 second round after this.

I remember that Lucas O'Connell once got the NZ 2x2 NR singe but finished last due in the same round owing to a DNF average.

35 Moves, a whole 10 moves less than whatever yiheng did

With Yiheng’s 14.61 TPS, the solve becomes 2.39

To get a world record, you need 11.19 TPS

To get a solve better than yiheng did just now, you need 11.37 TPS

To get a sub-3, you need 11.67 TPS

I got this solution after just a few minutes of playing around so I know there is a better solution out there. If I find one, I will come back and show it here.
