I really want one, but I think ima wait to see some more reviews. To me it is only worth it if it solves the 3 maru problems I had
1) Popping - same problem the Dayans have
2) Lock-ups - during cutting, if it is two much sometimes mine locks up,
3) Misalignment - which is already fixed, so 2 to go

also less clicky and resistive middle layers would be nice.
and the same cutting as the dayan

Have you tried the ShengShou its much better then the Dayan which solves all three of your problems except it locks up a little but not bad

Isnt the shengshou a maru/V4 based puzzle like the X-Cube is?

and when I say locking, I mean that if you were to turn the U layer on a dayan 1 cubie U' and do a R'. it would cut, or not cut at all.
but if you do that on a maru, or possibly its just mine -_-, then the top piece of the BR edge ends up going between the URB corner and the back piece of the UR edge, and some times the corner will start to twist.
If the dayan is too much to cut, it wont cut at all, but if the maru is too much, pieces shift and things pop and a whole mess happens.

It just seems odd that a buncha kids would go and buy something that could potentially be bad, when there are other options.
If there weren't other options, this would be highly understandable, like the v5-7. (Rubik's 5 sucked, as did ES, IMO)

Not entirely sure, but you might have to email him with the list of puzzles you want. Because to order his special puzzles you have to email him and include any additional puzzles, this is probably the same way.

I tried it at Taiwan Winter open in Feb this year. It was a purely hand made and sanded x cube. It was pretty good and I'm sure that a factory molded one is much better.
