I Really want a pink zhanchi, dont ask me why. I'm wiling to pay up to $75 as long as it's in good condition

I messed around with dyeing and concluded it was going to be somewhat dangerous. The way to do it seems to be to add a small amount of petroleum dye and acetone (?) to hot water. A problem is that all the puzzles I'd like to do this to have semi-hollow interiors and are going to either float or get filled with the solvent.

Painting a cube gives an effect just like a stickered cube. You'll still be able to see the black spaces in between. When you're done, you give it an overcoat of varnish. The result is a cube that never needs restickering. And with paint you get a lot more color choices. Plus you can mix colors. I'm figuring on painting a megaminx over Christmas. I'm thinking I'll black and white for the two ends, and for the other 10 sides, use the same basic color for each ring of 5, but with one ring also having sparkle / glitter. That way by looking at a piece I will automatically know which end of the cube it belongs to.

And there's no question that it's a *lot* easier to paint a white cube. I like black because it's sexier. It means I have to put on more layers of paint.
