Wonderful Puzzler

Hi There I recently got my hands on a wonderful puzzler 3x3 and after having a play with it decided I would try and create A speed cube out of it after tensioning and lubing the cube it is a lot smoother and is pretty fast the only problem it has is that it pops pretty frequently just wondering if anyone has attempted this before and if anyone knows how u could reduce the amount of times it pops

how when it is over 20 years old and it has the stranded rubiks brand mech.

Torpedoes are designed to hook onto the corner pieces. Since it has the rubik's mechanism, I don't know i that would work without a lot of modding; you couldn't just put torpedoes inside it and expect it to work.

Yes, the go in the edges, but the reason the edges don't pop is that the torpedoes hook under the corner pieces.
