Hi,

I started cubing 15 yrs ago. Stopped 13 yrs ago, now began doing my hobby again. Since last month, I couldn't find any good iOS mobile app for timer and learning cubing that is free and good-looking (even those paid ones aren't even that good).

I wonder if everyone here feels the same way, and if a better app is what we all want. If that's the case, I'm down to doing a 2-3 days project, publishing it free forever, without ads, without anything interfering everyone's experience using a timer app.

What do you guys think?

I hope you make a cool app, that would contribute a ton with the community

Cstimer has an app. I think you have to download it from their website.

So use the website as an app?
Yes, bookmark it on the phone (works on iOS). It is a Progressive Wep App, and works perfect in offline mode.

For algs, use the speedcubedb.net website. Has many algs for each case. Maybe you can find what you knew, or maybe you want some newer ones.

I understood, but too janky and hacky for me. I'd rather have a full app that does this, even if it's just for personal use. Thank you for explaining.

Personally, I've used this for years(I think since 2015)
App
It has since been declining is quality with ads and such, but it is like the pinacle of design for me.
But I miss the option in every timing app to insert a 'scrambler'.
Like a common format for how a scrambler works that can be created, shared and added. For example for Non-WCA events.
I used to like CCT and used it for a longer time. But when I first got into Mega, we already used the ++/-- notation while old notation was the only option available and you could not add another scrambler unless you dug into the Scr which I never did, since Java isn't my language.
Maybe CS has this and I'm talking for nothing, but CS just isn't compatible with me.

im gonna suggest this to someone who has a relatively new cubing site (cuberacer.io if you wanna check out)

Yes, if you are interested in making one, we will always appreciate:)

By far the best looking to me is cubetime on iOS, but I use mostly cubedesk.io, as it sync the solves data automatically.
I only used it as a timer, not so much on other features but it has got trainers, stats etc.
