Why does my LL TPS suck so much?

Like, seriously, my OLL and PLL have really crappy turning speed. I solve the F2L in 8 seconds on average and I'm barely sub-13. I want a 4 second LL, but I just don't have it. OLL takes me around 2 seconds on average (including recognition), and then PLL (also including recognition) takes me around 2.5 to 3. I can't sub 1 any of my PLLs except for the Jb perm, sometimes the U perms, and usually the Aa perm. I just think that my last layer sucks. I practice a lot, but it doesn't get any better. What do you think I should do?

i dont think your problem is necessarily tps. If PLL is taking you 2.5-3, your recog is bad.
Looking at the time he's posted, that's recognition and execution. You can't know if it's the recognition or the execution from that.

@OP: I'm in a similar position. ~8 second F2L, average mid 13. I think from here, the best we can do is search for algs, generate our own, then practise them again and again until your TPS improves.

f2l 8 seconds and last layer 5 seconds doesn't make you have a bad last layer. You could work on the algorithms by drilling them though...
