Im embarrassed to say this but it's around 20 seconds

20 sec * 8 turns/sec = 160 move solutions

If you average 20 sec you are probably not doing 160 move solutions.

How do I know how many turns I made?

You can either do a reconstruction after the solve, if you remember the solution or you can confidently remember it upon seeing the scramble again. If you struggle to get the same solution after the fact, then you can also record some solves and make a reconstruction watching the video back. Or there is the option of using a smart-cube, which there are some cheaper options nowadays, which will automatically give you the time, move-count and TPS and depending on the smart-cube or the app/timer used, can also provide other useful data like how long you paused.

1.) your solutions are not good, like rotating twice for one pair, taking more than 8 moves for each F2L pair, crosses more than 8 moves, etc.
2.) lookahead is not good, like pausing for 3 sec for every F2L pair, pausing during cross etc.

What's your tps cz it can feel fast but not be

Around 8 I think.

We just said you can't be avg 8 tps, you probably average like 3tps and maybe less

Yeah, I can. I have a gopro to record and yeah I can tell you what scramble it is and my thought process is. I can probably get it to you by today or tommorow.

Try to turn at ~60% of your max. TPS and see the magic (lookahead becoming ideal for you)
