ive tried learning lookahead but i cant see any pair that isnt directly in front of me, i struggle to pay attention to the rest of the cube because i feel like i am either turning too fast or my hands are in the way so i cant track anything, i tried to not focus on the pair im solving but it doesnt seem to have any affect since im unable to track pieces

any help would be appreciated

You can only lookahead if you’re able to glance at any f2l pair, close your eyes, and solve it with 99%+ accuracy. If you can’t solve the pair without looking at it then it’s impossible to look ahead to the next pair

Also, lookahead is only something you really should start developing when you’re confidently and easily sub-20, for the aforementioned reason. What’s your current average?

17 ish is my normal ao100

another issue i have is lockups and pauses

sometimes in pll and oll algs i get lockups cause im not turning fully

and i recorded a solve it was 20.02 and i counted 1 5 second pause in it during f2l

Ah, the difference between youth and old people. If I had waited until I was confidently and easily sub-20 to work on lookahead, I'd still be barely sub-30. (And I got barely sub-30 by learning full OLL. LOL!)

Perhaps someday I will be confidently and easily sub-20 so it will actually be okay for me to learn lookahead.

LOL means laugh out loud.
With F2L, you need to be able to find a way to pair pieces in the quickest way. They don't have to be move-optimal, but they should be good enough that you can easily lookahead to the other pieces.
To help with lockups, you need to make sure you're not turning too aggressively. In fact, using light turning with allow you to get faster.

Fair point. What I was trying to get across is that you need to be very confident in individual F2L cases before you can start looking ahead while solving. Trying to learn lookahead before that doesn’t really do anything. From my experience, this mostly happens around the sub-20 barrier, but clearly that’s not always the case

Try turning slower. I find pairs easier when I'm not turning as fast. Just slow it down enough to be able to see the pieces well enough to identify them.
